Through a change in security permissions, our antivirus agent has stopped updating on some computers. Follow these steps to allow it to update again. It shouldn't take long but if you run into troubles, bring your laptop to us.
- Open your System Settings (under the Apple Menu)
- Click on the Privacy & Security icon and click on Full Disk Access.
- Toggle the Sophos Updater to ON
Newer Mac:
Older Mac:
IF Sophos Updater is not in the list:
- Click on the small + at the bottom of the window
- A file finder window will open, pull down the menu at the top and select MacHD or MacintoshHD
- Then click on Library > Sophos Anti Virus > Sophos Updater and then click Open
Now you are ready to Update. Click on the "S" shield on the top right toolbar (near the date & time). Click on Open Sophos Endpoint
Then click on the About link in the lower right of that window and then click on Update Now. Thank you for your help in keeping your computer safe.
